the adak bowling alley/gym hasn't been used for a while; nevertheless, it
hasn't been trashed by the weather.

we met this awesome woman who worked at the restaurant inside the high school;
she's working on restoring two of the bowling alley lanes and building an
indoor garden in some of the extra space. there were a bunch of people
working on this stuff while we were there; we had a plane to catch, or we
probably would have helped..
